Cheapest ICS handset yet packs in a 3.5″ touchscreen,600 MHz CPU, and 5 MP camera; expected for Rs 14,000.

After several leaks, HTC has finally announced the Desire C. Going by the looks, it seems like a successor to the HTC Explorer . Despite being a budget smartphone, the handset runs Android 4.0 out of the box.
The Desire C is powered by a modest 600 MHz CPU, and has 512 MB of RAM. Its 3.5″ screen has pixel dimensionsof 480×320. Apart from that,it features a 5 MP camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1230 mAh battery. Additionally, the phone will come with the Beats audio software enhancement. However, since the handset belongs to budget segment, I’m not sure whether it will ship withthe Beats-branded earphones.
The cellphone will be made available in the UK first, after which it will be rolled out for rest of the world. It’sexpected to retail at aroundEUR 200 (approx Rs 14,000), and will come in red, black, and white hues.
