Motorola Defy XT and Defy Mini Launched Starting At ₹ 11,490

Motorola has enhanced its Defy range of smartphones with the new Defy XT and Defy Mini. Keeping up with the rugged design of the Defy series , these smartphones are water-resistant, dust-proof and scratch-resistant. Both smartphones come with Corning Gorilla Glasstouchscreens, and just like the Defy Plus, both devices run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The Defy XT, which is slightlyon the higher-end, than the Mini embeds a 3.7-inch touchscreen. On the other hand, the Dual-SIM Defy Mini sportsa 3.2-inch touchscreen. The Motorola Defy XT is now available at select retailers for a recommended retail price of 16,190. The Motorola Defy Mini will begin retailing from June 20 fora recommended retail price of 11,490.
Motorola adds that its MotoSwitch user interfaceis capable of learning theuser behaviour. The user interface has been designed to learn the songs you like, people you talk to most and alsothe apps you use. It keeps a tab on all your preferences and stores them. The Defy Mini is powered by a 600MHz processor, while the DefyXT is fuelled by a 1GHz processor.

Motorola Defy Mini features – 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen with 320 x 480 resolution 3G, EDGE/GPRS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA GPS and AGPS Bluetooth A2DP, AVRCP 3MP camera with flash and front facing VGA camera microSD cardsupport up to 32GB (2GB card included)

The Motorola Defy XT and Defy Mini promise longer battery life with the 1650mAh battery. The Motorola Defy XT promises 9.5 hrs hours of talktime and the Defy Mini about 9 hours of talktime. The Motorola Defy XT has a 5-megapixel camera, while the Mini equips a 3-megapixel camera. Both offer VGA front-facing cameras and intuitive interfaces with social and activity widgets. We wish these devices would give us the taste of the lastest ICS version of Android.
